Helen Brand
Administration Manager / Company Secretary
Helen is qualified in Health Services Management and has over 20 years experience in human resources, including a large retailer and prior to joining CSA in 2006, a mining investment company. Helen has worldwide experience having lived in Scotland, New York, Toronto and Johannesburg. Her cosmopolitan background has strengthened her understanding of the difficulties and needs of the many CSA Global staff that regularly travel around the world and operate in different cultures and time zones.

Dr. Simon Dörling
Principal Geologist

Simon is a principal geologist with many years experience exploring for base metals, gold and uranium in a variety of geological environments throughout Australia, Africa, SE Asia and China. He has high level expertise and technical knowledge of sediment-hosted deposits in deformed terrains, regional and micro-scale structural analysis, sedimentology, basin analysis and metallogeny. Simon is also very experienced in exploration project concept reviews and assessments. He has further expertise in the compilation of competent person reports as well as resource and geological modelling.


Mick Elias
Principal Geologist,Nickel

Mick is an expert in all aspects of nickel resource assessment and development in both laterites and sulphides. He has 35 years experience in the nickel industry conducting project generation and evaluation, exploration planning and management, development studies, open cut and underground mine geology, resource/reserve estimation, and resource economics. He has worked on the technical and financial evaluation of many nickel deposits throughout Australia and his international experience includes Cuba, Indonesia, Philippines, New Caledonia, Canada and Brazil.


Alex Goulios
Manager - Data Management & Mapping

Since joining CSA Global as a consultant in 2002, Alex has worked extensively with geoscientists, gaining experience in implementing and managing geological datasets, GIS systems and developing innovative data handling solutions. His key focus is the implementation of new systems to better manage GIS and geological data for the resources industry. One of Alex's professional strengths is his ability to provide training and support in data management for more efficient use of our client’s resources.


Michael Jackson
Manager – Queensland

Michael is a geologist with over 15 years experience in exploration management throughout Australia, PNG and Central Africa. He is an expert in project management from exploration programs through to pre-feasibility with commodities such as gold and copper. Michael has additional experience in underground mining, geological modelling, geotechnical appraisal, ore reserve calculation and grade control. Michael represents CSA Global from our offices with our associates the Geodiscovery Group in Brisbane.


Graham Jeffress
Manager – Exploration & Evaluation

Graham is a geologist with over 20 years experience in field exploration in Australia, PNG and Indonesia. His exploration and evaluation expertise includes near mine and resource definition as well as associated management skills. He is also proficient in prospect evaluation and project evaluation. He has worked on a range of commodities including gold, copper-gold, uranium, iron and base metals. Furthermore, he has experience in energy resources including geothermal, uranium and coal seam gas. Graham is a Councillor/Director of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a Registered Professional Geoscientist.


Patrick Maher
Manager, Northern Territory

Patrick is a geologist with over 15 years experience in geological disciplines ranging from mapping and exploration to working as a project leader for community development and sustainability groups in Ireland and Australia. He has expertise in geological site assessment and the development of regional geological interpretation plans (such as trail proposals) for private companies, as well as local and central government agencies. Patrick commenced work for CSA in Ireland in 1996, he joined our Perth office in 2007 where he established our Community Development & Sustainability business and now resides in Darwin managing our activities in the Northern Territory.


Andrew Margereson
Manager - XRF Sales and Services

Andrew is an environmental scientist who is experienced in mine and exploration environmental monitoring, rehabilitation and mineral exploration. His technical experience ranges across sampling of water, soil and air in various environments with subsequent analysis and reporting. His expertise includes staff management, logistics, database management, resource modelling, sales and marketing and radiation safety. Andrew is CSA Global’s XRF expert and works closely with hand held XRF manufacture Innov-X, to retail their FP-XRF units. Andrew is also working with exploration and mining companies to train project managers and geologists in the most effective use of this new XRF technology.


Peter Muhling
Principal Geologist

Peter is a senior field geologist with many years experience exploring for commodities around the world especially in Australia, India, China, Namibia, Indonesia and the USA. He excels in target generation and assessment for lead-zinc, copper and gold right through from global terrains to specific prospects. His expertise also includes basin analysis and geological mapping. Peter joined CSA in 2001 and since then his experience has added value to many exploration projects. Some of these projects include carbonate-hosted lead-zinc deposits, basin assessment and project definition for shale-hosted lead-zinc and sediment/hosted copper in Western Australia; sediment hosted gold deposits throughout Australia and the USA, as well as the evaluation of manganese deposits in Western Australia.


Clayton Reeves
Principal Mining Engineer

Clayton is a mining engineer with over 12 years experience in gold, platinum and base metal projects and operations throughout Africa, Central Europe and South America. He is an expert in underground mine design, production scheduling and cost modelling including feasibility studies. Clayton has also worked extensively on gold Whittle optimization and open pit design. He has further expertise in technical audits and Competent Persons Reports (AIM listings) for underground mining operations.


Dr. Bielin Shi
Principal Resource Geologist

Bielin is a geologist with high level experience in economic and mining geology, resource estimation and applied geostatistics. He has worldwide operational expertise with exploration and mine projects and he has worked on coal, iron ore, gold, copper, lead and zinc, tin, laterite nickel-cobalt and bauxite deposits. Bielin is very experienced with the development of independent technical reviews, due diligence audits and expert technical reporting in compliance with the JORC Code and NI43-101 standards. He has also published twenty papers on the application of geostatistics in resource estimation.


Galen White
Principal Resource Geologist

Galen is a resource geologist with over 14 years in the mineral exploration and mining industry. His expertise ranges across resource estimation, project evaluation as well as auditing and expert reporting. Galen has worked with commodities such as gold, silver, copper, uranium, iron ore, base metals and mineral sands in projects throughout Europe, Australia, Indonesia and Canada. He has further experience in exploration geology, feasibility and due diligence studies.


David Williams
Principal Resource Geologist

David is a highly experienced resource geologist having worked for over two decades on mine geology and resource estimation projects. He has worked on a variety of commodities including gold, iron ore, uranium, nickel laterite and copper in Australia, Indonesia and Namibia. David has further expertise in grade control functions and liaison with mine production teams as well as the provision of geotechnical advice to senior mine management regarding risk minimisation.

Simon McCracken

Principal Geologist

 

Simon is a geologist with 20 years experience in underground and surface mining, exploration management, resource estimation and database management.  He has worked with commodities such as Gold (Mesothermal & epithermal), U308-Copper-Gold (Ironstone & Sediment hosted), Nickel (Komatiite hosted) and Silver-Lead-Zinc (Broken Hill Type deposits). He is proficient in exploration, resource delineation and development as well as geo-statistical and classical resource estimation.
