Machine Learning Workshop, hosted by CSA Global

This workshop is designed for mining geologists, geophysicists and professionals interested in using machine learning to solve their everyday challenges. It will cover the following:
• An introduction to machine learning with example scenarios
• The machine learning workflow
• An overview of machine learning techniques
• Demonstration 1: Simple rock classifier
• Demonstration 2: Identifying circular structures on digital elevation models

Panel: Optimizing FPIC, hosted by ERM

Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) is now a requirement for major project approvals in British Columbia and is reflected in select federal regulatory and international standards.
The panel will discuss the changing requirements around engagement, and what new factors companies operating in Canada should consider to reduce avoidable project delays related to regulatory approvals, financing, and legal challenges.
We will hear varying perspectives from First Nations representatives, industry, and financial institutions.
