CSA Global Resource Consultant, Adrian Martinez will present on ‘Machine learning – a tool for geologists’ at the Amira Global ROAR 1010 2020, a 24hr interactive global showpiece that aims to bring together the world’s leading innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs and resource sector operators.

The event will seek to advance the industry’s capability and understanding of remote operations, automation and robotics to meet Industry 6.0 and will showcase technology demos, panels, and presentations.

The 24hr event covers the world’s time zones so everyone can join in.

Kick off commences 9 October 2020 and themes include:

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Adrian Martiez, CSA Global Senior Resource GeologistAdrian Martinez

Adrian has 18 years of experience as a consultant on resource estimation and technical reports, operational auditing, due diligence and technical risk analysis, mine geology, sampling and geological interpretation. He has worked with various commodities such as gold, copper, nickel, submarine sills, barite, clay and limestone deposits. Some examples of Canadian and international mineral resource estimation projects where he worked are Coringa, Cow Mountain, Borden Gold Property, Gallowai Bull River Mine and Brucejack. He also worked on Cuban projects in Moa Bay, Cementos Mariel, Oro Barita and Merceditas.

Adrian also runs the Introduction to Machine Learning course in Canada. This two-day training course is designed for geologists, geophysicists and professionals working in the mining industry. A strong background in mathematics or previous knowledge of machine learning is not required to undertake this course. If your role is to make sense of your data or to automatize tedious tasks, such as core logging, then this training course is for entirely for you.
