The fervour for graphite exploration shows few signs of letting up, but with more and more companies piling into the industry, despite warning about the comparative narrowness of the future demand window, judging quality projects is tricky.

Dr Bill Shaw has over 40 years of experience in economic geology, resource evaluation and mining. He has operational experience in gold and ferrous metals and resource modelling experience in many commodities. Bill has audited mineral resources and ore reserves to international standards including the Australasian JORC, US Securities and Exchange Commission, Canadian NI 43-101 and South African SAMREC international standards. He has been involved in the management of large evaluation projects and major audits. He is on the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) and is President of the Australian Geoscience Council.

Jason Chesters is a Resources Analyst with Patersons Securities. He was previously the Head of Equities at Patersons Asset Management and Fund Manager of the Resources Funds, having joined the firm in April 2009.
