Dr Morrison joins the Americas team, bringing extensive experience and expertise in mineral resource estimation and mine geology to support our continued excellence in client service and delivery in Canada and internationally.
Upon completing his PhD in Australia, Dr Morrison served as a mapping geologist for the Northern Territory Geological Survey before moving on to WMC Resources and Gold Fields Ltd in Western Australia. Here, he spent 12 years working in mine and exploration geology and mineral resource estimation for gold and nickel, and authored several publications from 1989 to 2003.
Dr. Morrison later joined BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam expansion project in South Australia as Senior Resource Geologist before returning to Toronto as Lead Resource Geologist for the global consultancy firm, Tetra Tech. He was subsequently employed as Mineral Resource Manager for the Dalradian Gold Feasibility Study in Northern Ireland and Senior Resource Geologist with Detour Gold (Kirkland Lake Gold) in northern Ontario.
In 2019 he joined Agnico Eagle Mines Limited as Manager, Resources & Reserves, responsible for internal auditing of technical services, resource estimation practices, and data management to ensure compliance with Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve declarations for the company.

Dr Morrison served as Councillor-at-Large with the APGO (2012-2015) and was awarded the Larry Chester Excellence in Leadership Award from the University of Toronto (School of Continuing Studies – 2011).
