CSA Global Continues to Expand Principal Base in Australia

PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – October 11, 2022 – CSA Global (an ERM Group company) is pleased to welcome Principal Consultant Khairulla Aben, Principal Consultant-Resource Geology, Maree Angus and Principal Consultant-Data, Ibo Mango in Australia.

Dr Khairulla Aben is a professional engineer who has worked on mining studies, due diligence, and expert opinion reports. He adds considerable open pit and underground capabilities to the team and has completed multiple projects and studies across Canada and Kazakhstan.

Manager-Mining (APAC) Howard Simpson stated: “Khairulla migrated from Kazakhstan to Perth, Australia, and we are excited to have him based locally. He was recently employed by the Eurasian Resources Group, where he was responsible for implementing the mine planning practices in the underground mines, including developing mining procedures and instructions.”

Khairulla has strong commodity expertise in gold, copper, iron, zinc, and tungsten, amongst other commodities and possesses considerable expertise in design, planning, scheduling of mine operations, and economic evaluation. His extensive technical background is a significant value enabler to the CSA Global client base.

He has previously been an independent advisor of the State Committee for Reserves of Kazakhstan. In 2018, he received the “Miner’s Glory” award from the Government of Kazakhstan for his dedication and input into the country’s mining industry. Khairulla has published several publications on mining engineering in Australia, the USA, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Maree Angus is a professional geologist who joins the Brisbane team and has more than 25 years’ experience in the mining industry. Her primary areas of expertise include 3D geological modelling, QA/QC, technical data collection protocols, geostatistical analysis, resource estimation, grade control reconciliation and resource project management.

She was most recently employed as principal geologist with an international mining consultancy, gaining experience across all aspects of resource estimation. Her expertise has been developed across various deposit styles, including high and low-sulphidation epithermal deposits, porphyry deposits, volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, skarns, and sediment-hosted copper deposits.

“Her broad resource estimation and geological knowledge are complemented by her strong operational background, which has led to the provision of practical solutions for our clients. Maree will be instrumental in helping to solve our client’s resource estimation and mining challenges,” stated Brisbane based Manager-Resources (APAC), Aaron Meakin.

She has contributed to scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility level mining studies, and due diligence assignments across various commodities, including zinc, iron, tin, nickel, copper, gold, and PGE’s. Maree has worked extensively across Australia, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, and Mexico.

Ibo Mango is a data specialist with a broad range of experience in geological data management solutions, information systems and information technology and will work out of CSA Global’s office in Brisbane.

He was previously a principal with Micromine, responsible for GeoBank product development, database project management and data analysis.

Manager-Data (APAC) Danielle Taylor stated: “We are excited to welcome Ibo to the data team as he brings significant experience in innovative automation and analytical techniques allowing us to extract more valuable information from our client’s data where he will be responsible for configuring, auditing, and maintaining exploration and geological databases.”

Ibo has contributed to the development of ACARP’s Coal Log borehole logging standard. He has substantial experience across many commodities, including base metals, coal, copper, deep sea sulfides, gold, graphite, iron ore, lead, lithium, and zinc in Australia and internationally.
