PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – Wednesday 31 May 2023 – CSA Global (an ERM Group company) is pleased to welcome back Dr Travis Murphy as Geoscience Director to the geoscience group in Brisbane, Queensland.
Ian Stockton, Associate Partner-Geoscience at CSA Global, expressed his delight in welcoming Dr Murphy back to the team. Dr Murphy’s return brings a wealth of expertise in structural geology, geometallurgy, exploration, and mine geology. His extensive experience encompasses a wide range of disciplines and environments, including mine development and production and brownfields and greenfields exploration. Additionally, his involvement in technical research in mineral provinces worldwide further enhances his valuable contribution to our team of experts.
With a proven track record of success in exploration, mining, and applied research, Dr Murphy brings over 27 years of experience to CSA Global. He has demonstrated his capabilities by leading a team to a significant discovery and applying geoscience to mining and minerals processing. Notably, he served as a project lead for the DNRM-GSQ funded Cloncurry Cu-Au prospectivity analysis, showcasing his ability to deliver valuable insights in complex projects.
Dr Murphy specializes in several key areas, including structural geology, exploration, mine geology, and targeted geometallurgy/deposit knowledge. His skills encompass designing and executing exploration programs and drilling. His expertise in structural geology applied to exploration and mining, advanced analytical and interpretation skills, and using geoscience and geometallurgy in mining and minerals processing further enhance the breadth of services CSA Global offers.
His wealth of experience extends to various commodities and geological environments, including base metals deposits, copper, iron ore, gold, nickel, tin, and tungsten.
Dr Murphy’s leadership and mentoring skills have played a crucial role in enhancing the geological skill levels of geologists across Australia, Asia, and Africa. His collaborative approach and dedication to teamwork ensure that he delivers solutions that meet clients’ specific requirements.
