PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – November 9, 2022 – CSA Global (an ERM Group company) is pleased to welcome Mineral Resource specialist Maria O’Connor back to its Horsham office in the United Kingdom. Maria joins CSA Global as Technical Director – Mineral Resources.

Maria will play a globally significant role within the CSA Global Resources team, supporting implementation and adherence to industry-leading practices and developing innovative solutions in the Mineral Resources space.”
Brendan further added: “As we continue to evolve and grow our client base, Maria will also look to add value through her client-focused approach across resource estimation, due diligence, and geostatistical modelling in a global capacity.”
During her original tenure with CSA Global as Partner and Manager of Resources in EMEA, Maria focused on managing multi-disciplinary and multi-locational teams. She provided technical assistance in geology and resources to our client base, helping formulate business and strategic decisions across mergers and acquisitions and business improvement processes.
In her most recent role, Maria worked for the corporate team at Golden Star Resources as Director – Mineral Resources providing support, guidance, and mentorship to the operations team. She was involved in defining and documenting standards and assessing operating sites, taking responsibility for mineral resource reporting, and supporting the company’s growth aspirations. During that time, the company was successfully acquired.

This role combines my twin passions of delivering technical excellence in a way that speaks to the needs of our clients across the mining industry while mentoring and developing our teams to achieve the highest standards. Maria has a Bachelor of Environmental Geochemistry (Honours) from the University of College Dublin and is a member of the AIG and AusIMM.
