HORSHAM, UNITED KINGDOM – SEPTEMBER 10, 2018 – CSA Global has promoted David Muir to Manager – Data to oversee the strategic direction of the company’s data and information management business.
David joined the CSA Global office in the United Kingdom in 2011 and has been a key driver in developing procedures and processes to manage data and information flows for CSA Global’s clients globally.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS), and a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG).
David has a practical and common-sense approach to problem solving and is passionate about developing best practice solutions for clients.
He has significant experience across many of software and systems commonly used by the mining industry e.g. acQuire GIM Suite, SQL Server, DataShed, QA/QCR, Micromine, ArcGIS, Spring Portals, Geo Access, Sharepoint, Datamine, and Sable Data Works.
During his time with CSA Global David has worked on a broad array of client projects and has developed strong bonds with his colleagues both within the Data team and from other technical and non-technical disciplines across the company.
Regional Director for Europe and Africa, Galen White stated: “David was a natural choice for the role as he has an excellent working knowledge of data management and information flow relating to all stages of the mining cycle from grassroots projects, through development projects and in the production environment.”

David is an accredited Partner Technologist to the acQuire Nova Network Partnership and completed training in 2017 to become a GIM Suite Practitioner.
