The session will examine:
- Innovate or perish – why miners must implement digital and automation technologies to succeed?
- Automations and robotisation of mining processes – technical, financial and social aspects.
- Improving mining project economics – AI and other emerging technologies.
- Enhancing mine safety – digital automation and communication solutions.
- Use of GPS positioning, drones, software and other technologies to increase blasting efficiency.
- Integrated smart applications for mine modelling and planning.
This year’s theme “Mining in Russia – moving up with the buoyant markets” will provide an industry-wide discussion on Russia’s mining industry growth scenarios and its ability to renew mineral resource base, develop infrastructure, train personnel and introduce more efficient solutions to reduce the costs and improve efficiency.
Alexey will present on “Geometallurgy and mining schedule optimization: Is it compatible with rational subsoil use?” His presentation will look to examine how better understanding of geology and processing properties of the ore, inclusive of other constraints and parameters, combined with strategic optimization affects the overall performance of a mining project and its NPV. The presentation will explore whether this can be put into context of rational subsoil use.
MINEX Russia will bring together more than 500 heads of industrial companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, countries of the European Economic Community, China, Mongolia, North America, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and Australia.
