ACA Howe Canadian Director (Toronto) and 2nd Vice President to PDAC, Felix Lee, will present at the Manitoba Mining and Minerals Convention between 16-18 November 2016 at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.
Felix will deliver a national perspective on the state of mineral exploration in Canada, situated within a global context; as well as an overview of the specific actions PDAC is taking nationally, to help support a competitive and responsible exploration industry. He will explore how access to land, skills, and capital is needed to find and develop deposits of the minerals and metals that make modern life possible.
Key topics will include:
- The state of exploration finance globally and within Canada
- State of exploration expenditures in comparison to key competitors
- Factors affecting how competitive Canadian jurisdictions are at attracting investment.
The three-day conference will showcase Manitoba’s latest geoscience activities, exploration highlights, near-term development projects, financing and investment opportunities, and will look at opportunities and innovative ideas to advance Manitoba’s rich mineral potential and geologically diverse land base.

Felix Lee has practiced as an economic geologist for 30 years. He is the owner and President of Toronto-based consulting firm A.C.A. Howe International Limited and, following the firm’s acquisition by the Australian consultancy CSA Global Pty earlier this year, is a Director and Principal Consultant with CSA Global as well. As a consultant, Felix provides independent geological due diligence reports and mineral property valuation opinions to clients wishing to list their companies on the stock exchanges or raise financing for their projects. Mr. Lee has worked on a variety of exploration and advanced-stage development projects in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Europe, South America, Central Asia, Asia and Africa, encompassing a wide range of geological environments, deposit types and commodities. Felix is the 2nd Vice President and a Director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and chairs the PDAC’s Governance and Nominating Committee. He also serves on the PDAC’s Executive, Human Resources Development, and Membership committees, and co-chairs the organizing subcommittee of the PDAC Student-Industry Mineral Exploration Workshop, a program which has allowed him to work with many of Canada’s promising geology and engineering students, mentoring and encouraging them to be optimistic about their future career in exploration and mining. Felix holds a B.Sc. degree in geology from McMaster University and an M.B.A. degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and Schulich School of Business, York University. He is registered as a professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
