CSA Global’s Industrial Minerals expert, Dr Andrew Scogings will be presenting at the Industrial Minerals (IM) International Congress and Exhibition between 13 – 15 June 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic.
The IM Congress will bring together international players from the industrial minerals markets. This two and a half day event will deliver presentations showcasing the current movements and developments of industrial minerals.
Dr Scogings will be delivering his presentation on “Industrial minerals are not all created equal: What constitutes a mineral resource?” on Wednesday 15th June at 2.00pm and will explore the following:
- What are the bentonite and graphite considerations?
- What exploration method is applicable – what pitfalls are there?
- Why should we report or grade industrial mineral deposits according to specifications?
- How to classify mineral resources according to international reporting codes?

Andrew is a highly experienced geologist with expert knowledge of industrial minerals exploration, mining and processing, product development, market applications and commercialisation processes. He provides CSA Global’s clients with his expertise in industrial minerals exploration management, technical evaluation of exploration and acquisition targets, geological modelling and industrial minerals resource estimation. Andrew is a regular contributor to Industrial Minerals Magazine and has published several papers on the requirements of JORC 2012 Clause 49. He was recently recognised by the AIG as a Registered Professional Geologist specialising in industrial minerals.
