ERM’s “The Mine We All Want to See” framework envisions a sustainable metals ecosystem for mining companies, communities, customers, and investors through responsible mining. This lightning talks event will see key sub-topics within the sustainable mining framework explored by junior companies, community members, investors, and expert speakers in interactive mini sessions that will shape a sustainable future and create value for all stakeholders through safe, just, and responsible mining.

The sub-topics include:

  • The value of a long-term project vision: Insights from a Canadian junior
  • The ABC’s of ESG due diligence: How to meet investor expectations and position your company for financing

Driven by the green energy transition, the emerging demand for critical metals such as lithium and rare earth elements requires innovative geological concepts, exploration strategies, and techniques. A combination of overview presentations and case studies will outline approaches required for the discovery and development of battery and magnet metal deposit.

ERM, in partnership with PDAC, will award a Sustainability Bursary of $3000 focused on innovation. This will provide support to the next generation of pioneers and leaders so that our industry can continue to generate sustainable value for all stakeholders in the years to come. The recipient for 2023 is Adrien Dimech, whose PhD is focusing on geophysical monitoring for the stability surveillance of mine tailings.
