Join CSA Global at the JORC Fundamentals Workshop at IMARC 2018

Published on October 4th, 2018

CSA Global is excited to be part of the AusIMM JORC Fundamentals Workshop scheduled for Monday 29 October 2018 at the 5th Annual International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) Code sets the minimum standard for public reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves in Australia and New Zealand. The purpose of the code is to establish consistency in reporting of the resources and reserves of mining projects. This code is critical for investors who are looking to invest into Australian mining companies.

This workshop will run through a clear overview of these JORC Code fundamentals and implications for assessing resource value.

Attendees will leave this workshop with a clear understanding of the critical differences between Inferred, Indicated, and Measured Mineral Resources, and also Probable and Proved Ore Reserves.

The workshop will run from 9:00am to 5:30pm in Room 216, Level 2, Melbourne Convention Centre and includes presenters from industry: Mark Noppe (SRK Consulting), Steve Hunt (JORC Chair), Anne Marie Ebbels (SRK Consulting), Bill Shaw (Ore Control), Colin Sprott (AMC Consultants) Anna Littleboy (Professorial Research Fellow), Stephen Hancock (ConSoc), James Stoddard (AMC Consulting) and Graham Jeffress (CSA Global).

WHY ATTEND?

  • Participants will learn the critical differences between Inferred, Indicated and Measured Mineral Resources, how they are estimated and what they really mean;
  • Understand the fundamentals of how a Mineral Resource is converted to an Ore Reserve and what Modifying Factors are applied and why;
  • Take away tools and techniques to apply rigorous assessment of data, geological and mining attributes to your prospective mining investments;
  • Understand the additional requirements and guidelines from the ASX and ASIC for reporting Exploration Results, Mineral Resources, Ore Reserves and technical studies; and
    Help ensure that your investments are being made with an adequate understanding of project risk when assessing potentially high value projects.
