CSA Global was proud to have sponsored and presented on “Managing Risk Through Integrated Geoscience” at this year’s RIU Sydney Resources Roundup Conference between May 9-10, 2018 at the Sofitel in Sydney, Australia.
The current mineral exploration paradigm is losing its effectiveness. The opportunity for mineral exploration must focus on blind deposits, areas with paucity of data and new assessments of (perceived) mature districts. Improving and understanding the effectiveness of your exploration spend, therefore, becomes increasingly important as costs escalate. Recent improvements in data acquisition and interpretation are substantial. However, as an industry we remain poor at integrating across disparate data types to better manage risk. Further to this, there are ‘mine finder’ geologists who outperform consistently. What are the behaviours that make them successful and what can we do to encourage these behaviours in your team?
