PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – FEBRUARY 07, 2022 – CSA Global (an ERM Group company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Principal Mining Engineer Jemini Bhargava and Principal Data Scientist Matthew Nimmo to its Australian operations.
Based in Perth, Jemini, will apply his extensive mining industry and consulting experience to lead and deliver technical studies for clients and lead the business development and marketing efforts to assist with the pipeline of work.
In his previous consulting roles, he was responsible for managing and delivering numerous projects focusing on cost control, value improvement, risk management and mine planning for various technical projects, which supported technical analysis and due diligence work leading to JORC and NI 43-101 reserve statements. Jemini undertook multiple open-pit optimizations, mine designs, ore and waste schedules, and sensitivity analyses for various mining projects at a scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility study level.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering (First Class with Distinction) from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines).

Based out of Brisbane, Matthew, formerly Principal Geoscience and Mining Data Analyst with AMC Consultants, will assist the CSA Global geometallurgy team and lead the advancement of our geometallurgical cross-disciplinary approach, connecting geological, mining, mineralogical and processing information to provide comprehensive models for mine production planning and management globally.

Matthew’s skills complement CSA Global’s geometallurgy modelling approach, which delivers an outcome truly founded on the most spatially representative data for an orebody combined with expert understanding of geology flowing through to the processing plant.”

During his tenure at AMC, Matthew was responsible for the geometallurgy modelling of numerous gold, copper, and iron ore deposits. He has previously provided data science solutions in operational performance and was seconded to BHP whilst working for Hatch in the Maintenance Centre of Excellence (MCOE), supporting the Total Equipment Strategy (TES) process. He helped develop data pipelines and workflows for the TES team subject matter experts during his time there. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Queensland.
