PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – MAY 14, 2021 – CSA Global is pleased to announce several new appointments to the CSA Global APAC Geoscience team based in Perth, Western Australia.
The company welcomes Dr Peter Neumayr (Principal Geologist, Exploration Targeting), Chris Williams (Principal Geologist, Iron Ore), Robert “Bob” Affleck (Principal Geologist, Exploration Geology), Max Nind (Principal Geologist, Exploration Geology), and Dr Andrew Scogings (Principal Geologist, Industrial Minerals).
Peter, Chris, Bob, Max, and Andrew collectively bring a wealth of experience in commodities and experience including nickel and cobalt, gold, iron ore, copper, lead, and zinc, as well lithium, graphite, and industrial minerals, across a wide range of deposit types and geological settings. Each brings a practical and scientific approach to orebody discovery based on a robust mineral systems approach. CSA Global welcomes the return of Dr Andrew Scogings, a world-renowned specialist in industrial minerals to its team.
The diverse skills of the new team members further bolster CSA Global’s capacity to offer high-quality services, including integrated exploration targeting, independent technical reports, exploration management, technical advice, and “boots on ground” field services.

Prior to joining CSA Global, Peter Neumayr held roles with Sipa Resources and was responsible for discovering the Enigma copper system in Western Australia, the Akelikongo magmatic nickel-copper system in Uganda and the Obelisk copper-gold system in the Paterson Province of Western Australia. Peter is a former researcher from the PMD-CRC and the Centre of Exploration Targeting (CET).
Chris Williams has held senior positions with Rio Tinto and BHP’s iron ore divisions and has considerable petroleum and shale oil development experience. He has a track record of leading successful exploration and resource development projects and was responsible for establishing Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Pilbara brownfields resource development geoscience team.
Bob Affleck has worked with significant miners (Newmont and Rio Tinto) and junior explorers for more than 25 years and possesses commodity experience ranging from Archaean gold to vein graphite. Bob has considerable global experience in project management, technical and prospectus reviews, target generation, JV and landowner liaison, field exploration, program management, training, and team mentoring.
Max Nind is an exploration geologist with a diverse career spanning 25 years. He was most recently with Moho Resources, and responsible for managing all aspects of exploration across gold, cobalt, nickel, and copper projects. Max has managed target generation, development, and exploration programs across the goldfields and Far North Western Queensland and projects in Canada. In addition, Max has several years in the corporate sector as a resource analyst and stockbroker.
After a recent departure from CSA Global to focus on personal projects, Dr Andrew Scogings has returned to CSA Global. With more than 25 years of experience in industrial minerals exploration, product development and sales management. Andrew has published papers on industrial minerals, including reporting requirements for the JORC Code. The return of Andrew to the Geoscience team provides a significant skill set to the industrial minerals sector, an area that continues to expand. Andrew is reconnecting with existing clients, providing advice on kaolin and bentonite clays, silica sands, graphite, and other industrial minerals, as well as lithium pegmatites.
