CSA Global Manager – Geosciences (APAC), Ian Stockton and Principal Consultant-Geosciences, Dr Shane Kenworthy are looking forward to meeting you at the 2021 NewGenGold Conference between 09-10 November 2021 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Perth, Western Australia.
An invaluable forum for the professional development of geoscientists, the conference is focused on discovery case histories of the world’s most recent gold mines or soon-to-be mines.
A programme of sixteen 45 minute papers is presented over two days, each addressing the where-why-and-how of the discovery process leading to the world’s more important gold deposits.
Ian is an experienced exploration geologist with more than 25 years’ experience and has been involved in several discovery teams across Australia, Asia and South America. He has significant knowledge with low sulphidation epithermal deposits, orogenic gold mineralisation and intrusive related exploration experience ranging from Greenfields to near mine projects. Ian has been involved in the discovery of several important ore deposits including the Nolans/Sarsfield gold deposits and copper mine extensions in Australia, as well as the rejuvenation of the Mt Muro Epithermal deposits (Indonesia) and the Saramacca gold deposit (Suriname). With a long and demonstrated history of successful exploration for gold and base metals; his experience incorporates a diverse background of exploration settings globally across the minerals sectors. Ian provides integrated, mineral systems based geological models and targeting advice. He has authored several papers including: “Ravenswood Gold Deposits”: AusIMM Monograph 22: Geology of the Mineral Deposits of Australia and Papua New Guinea.”
Shane is an expert geologist with over 20 years’ experience in the mineral exploration industry ranging from early-stage exploration activities through to project evaluation and deposit modelling. His expertise includes 3D modelling, structural evaluation, and mineral systems analysis to assist targeting at all stages of the exploration process from early stage to resource level projects. His experience includes significant WA deposit knowledge as well as international experience. Recently Shane was involved in analyzing the prospectivity of Western Australia to inform State and Local Governments. Through this diverse experience he can provide integrated, mineral systems based geological models and targeting advice.
