PERTH, AUSTRALIA – FEBRUARY 19, 2019 – CSA Global announced today the appointment of Principal Resource Geologist, Craig Williams to its Brisbane office.
Manager – Resources, Aaron Meakin, stated: “We are delighted to welcome Craig to CSA Global. He is a highly skilled geologist, with more than 25 years’ experience gained from working on coal, bauxite, gold, copper, PGE, vanadium and diamond projects in Australia, Africa and Europe.”
Most recently, Craig worked as a consultant for Xstract Mining and HDR/Salva. He has considerable resource estimation, exploration and mining experience with industry leaders such as De Beers, Vale and BHP.
Aaron added: “Craig is an excellent technical specialist and our clients will benefit from the experience he brings. We are confident Craig will help us to grow our resource estimation and mining geology business further.”
Craig’s key areas of expertise include geostatistics, resource estimation and auditing, machine learning, exploration targeting and the design of exploration programs. His diverse skill set will assist CSA Global’s clients in their efforts to drive innovation across the life-of-mine value chain.

Craig Williams has significant experience with both coal and metalliferous deposits and acts as a Competent Person for reporting of Mineral Resource and exploration results in accordance with the JORC, and SAMREC Codes and CIM Guidelines. He has developed an in-depth knowledge of coal quality parameters, washability modelling and optimal product selection. Craig is currently developing machine learning applications for coal quality and exploration targeting and is proficient in Python scripting.
