PERTH, AUSTRALIA – NOVEMBER 29, 2018 – CSA Global continues to expand its Brisbane team with the appointment of Dr Travis Murphy to the role Principal Geologist in Brisbane, Queensland.
Manager – Eastern Australia and Pac Rim, Patrick Maher stated, “We have strengthened our geological capabilities with the hiring of Dr Travis Murphy. His appointment is extremely instrumental as we look to grow our Brisbane office and expand our exploration and mine geology services.”
Dr Murphy, a highly experienced geologist, has worked for the past two decades in the resource industry. He has led several target generation to discovery projects and has undertaken several underground mine geology assignments.
More recently, he was engaged in a project with the University of Queensland which involved the prospectivity analysis of the Cloncurry copper-gold province in Queensland.
His specialist knowledge and expertise in exploration and mine geology, inclusive of porphyry, VHMS and sediment-hosted zinc base metal mineralisation systems will enhance the broad range of services offered by the Brisbane team.
“Dr Murphy’s recent experience in the field of geometallurgy will be highly instrumental in the early stage mineralogical assessment of projects; which will greatly help our clients when it comes to later stage metallurgy studies” stated Patrick.
