Principal Consultant, Tony Donaghy from CSA Global presented on “Vanadium; Putting renewable energy to work when you need it” at the Technology and Low Emission Minerals Conference on 13 November 2018, Perth, Western Australia.

The Technology and Low Emission Minerals Conference featured many of the upcoming and developed resources companies dealing in the Lithium, Graphite, Vanadium Cobalt, Manganese,Magnesium, Rare Earths and other minerals associated with clean energy.

CSA Global highlighted the vanadium markets and the future demands and supplies; and outlined the the future vanadium potential.

ABSTRACT: Vanadium; putting renewable energy to work when you need it

The global energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources has required the development of large-scale energy storage capacity. This is to ensure that the renewable energy generated is available during times of peak domestic and industrial energy demand. Vanadium is one of the metals poised to feed into that growing large-scale energy storage market. We will look at traditional markets for vanadium, current vanadium demand and supply, and investigate potential future vanadium demand and where future supply will most likely be met, as well as any disruptive technology that will impact that supply.
