CSA Global Principal Consultant-South Africa, Andre Vorster is looking forward to meeting you at the 9th West and Central Africa (WaCA) Mining Summit between 25-26 September at the Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana.
WaCA countries such as Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali and Nigeria are placing more emphasis on promoting their country as viable mining destinations, and Ghana, the mining hub of the region, are taking serious steps to tackle long-standing issues such as placing a recent moratorium on small-scale mining.
Optimising for recovery and growth is a key theme at this year’s summit; which will once again serve the region’s mining community by providing the best and only authoritative platform to learn, innovate and synergize with the power players of the extractive industry.

Andre is a minerals industry professional with more than 20 years’ experience across resource and exploration. He has worked in public and private companies and has demonstrated to be a strategic thinker and leader. His experience includes the development, initiation, management and review of projects across commodities and for all phases of exploration. He has a strong understanding of technical audits, valuations, reporting, and specialises in enhancing projects along the value chain from scoping study level through to pre-feasibility and feasibility levels. He possesses a working command of Afrikaans and French and holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA in Finance. He is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa.
